!!!Citizens of the McGhetto who make a difference!*

This page will remain a permanent feature of THE McGHETTO NEWS.It will feature citizens who make a difference in the Mcghetto.

This weeks citizen is Helen of the TD Bank St-Laurent corner Prince Arthur.Upon entering the bank you will be greeted by Helen, who will offer you coffee & cookies. If you are with your dog he will be offered a dog cookie as well. Now when I walk my dog past the bank,Jazzy the Dobbie will pull me towards the bank hoping to get a cookie. If you happen to look frail,Helen will offer you a seat and do your banking for you. There might be a jelly bean in a jar counting contest the week you are there ,or a pet picture contest to help the SPCA.Helen will offer you a raffle ticket to aid THE CHILDREN’S WISH FOUNDATION.Another week there will be a used book sale to aid the Cancer Research Foundation.
Helen is also a psychologist and social worker.I know of a man who she helped get his pension and as a result got him off the street.I often think how lucky the TD bank is to have her.Whenever I see her,I imagine the difference this women would have made as a school principal.

If you go to St.Louis Square any morning around 9-10 AM,you will see Jean smoking his Cuban Cigar and cleaning the park on his own.Merci Beaucoup Jean
